GAP Years @ Gresham's
Each year we welcome approximately four GAP Year Assistants to the Senior and Prep Schools. We aim to help these students gain vital career skills and leadership experience, plus the opportunity for a rewarding and fun year abroad in a close-knit and friendly community.
Duties may include working in the school office, coaching sport, assisting in PE lessons, helping in boarding houses, working as a classroom assistant, taking part in school trips, supporting our theatre & drama department and much more!
We are ideally located in the lively market town of Holt, which offers all necessary amenities. Daily buses operate between Holt and Norwich, and coach services are available to all major London airports from Norwich. Rail links to Norwich, London and the rest of the country are available at nearly Sheringham, which is a short taxi journey from Holt.
Coming to Gresham's will suit any young person who is prepared to throw themselves into our busy school community with commitment and enthusiasm. Students must be flexible and keen for challenge, with the ability to act as a leader and work effectively with people of all ages. Some expertise or qualifications in coaching sport would be a particular asset.
GAP positions are available from January to December each year. Recently our GAP students have joined us from Australia and South Africa, though we welcome applications from any part of the world.
